I friended this pattern ages ago because I liked the look of it.  While wondering what to do with fake KSH and sock yarn that were very close in color, I rediscovered it.  After some pondering and self-examination of my sanity, I cast on.  While a bit fiddly in the beginning, it was a nice project.  Simple, mindless and a wonderful cure for that nasty fake Estonian thing*.

Yes, this is another one I owe better photos for.  Big deal.  Not really news here, is it?

What can I say?  Cute, fun and fast.  All things I'm not anymore.  ;^)

Since it's Thursday...

Six+ year old socks that have been loved and cared better than I could have ever hoped.  He may need a new pair soon since he's done so well with this pair.

* The designer and friends keep coming over to see what I'm up to.  Once again, I'm a great disappointment to people who don't matter.  Good thing there's already a support group and newsletter for those sad pathetic souls.  Oh, and the designer issued an update of her flawed pattern.  However, she has not fixed the edging chart.  Why bother, right?

Current knitting, that I'm not in love with.  Ice pick and the next project.  Unless I return to the dud of a pattern with major issues and fix the issues enough to finish the thing.

I sort of lost track. 

It's beautiful in the evenings now.  Who wants to be inside when you can be outside?    Unless you can spinning inside, which I have also been doing.  Plus figuring out the new phone, trying to stay on top of all the things while also taking care of myself.

Oh, and still knitting the blue thing.

Once upon a time, on a message board far, far away, someone had a sig line that said something along the lines of 'Never explain yourself.  Your friends don't need to hear it and your enemies won't believe you.'   While I do not have any enemies, I do agree with that idea.  Y'all are going to think what you want, anyway.  Besides, I've explained plenty already.

In other news, getting ready for the Tour, still not knitting socks and thinking about a sweater.

That is now my standard reply to people.  It's easier than getting sucked in and risk being taken hostage.  You've done something I don't really care about?  Oh, good for you.  You would be surprised how often I can use it.  In other news...

• Watching World Cup Soccer.
• Really hate EPSN and the dodgy people they employ.
• Being responsible sucks.
• Not loving my new haircut.  Maybe be time for a change.
• Adjusting to my new phone is going to take time.
• A lot of time.
• On the upside, I can block people from the phone.  This will come in handy.
• There seem to be bunnies in the front yard.
• No, I do not personally have bunnies.
• Pondering doily patterns.
• Waiting for winter.
• & slogging on something blue...

I haven't cast on yet, but I'm already having doubts.
