A week or so ago, our Marilyn told me to go outside and look at the sky. I did because I try to listen my Marilyn and I found a disappointing sky. Smokey, gray blue sky. No happy clouds. Nothing good or remarkable. Then the other day, the sky was semi-decent looking...

Not bad, right?
Remember I told you about the teal spinning? Our Margene sent me some semi-solid cormo/alpaca that I spun into 164 yards of chain plied yarn that will edge the Shetland cardi that I will make from the 1130 yards of Meat Sheep Industries Shetland. Half of it was a birthday gift from Jen. The other half was from our Joan herself because I whinged a bit about wanting another braid and she was able to find another one for me. I'm totally impressed given that they moved not so long ago and she's just so busy over there.
Color is slightly off, of course...
I loved the spinning and plying. I always enjoy spinning Shetland and I am looking forward to knitting with this yarn. Although, not anytime soon because it's going to be 103F here today and the air quality is nasty bad. Wandering around in socks in one thing. Sitting with a sweater on my lap is something else entirely.
Hoping to find the time/energy to deal with the other 3 hanks of yarn I've spun. The color change stuff from the other day, some sock yarn and some yarn that will be for socks... I think.
We'll see. Things change so quickly here. Nothing's written in stone.
Oh, and I watched the season ender of Whodunnit last night. I over thought things and was wrong. I should have realized that it was an ABC show and that the person it totally looked like was indeed the person who was guilty. I like to think that makes me too smart for the show but really? Who knows? That whole tired thing may have eaten my brain...
Happy Monday, everyone!
