Once Upon A Rhinebeck...

An Into The Whirled batt and braid were purchased for a spinner, who lives on the wrong side of the country and has fabulous friends.  At the end of the day, the fabulous shopping friend realized that she had gotten the batt and merino/silk/yak braid in the same colorway.  There was laughing and reassuring noises because it's just fiber.

When the box of sexy lovely stuff arrived on the wrong  coast, the spinner with the fabulous friends realized that she wasn't so much in love with batts any more.  While lovely and charming, the spinner just wasn't that into batts.  No hard feelings, of course.  Sometimes, things just don't work out.

The spinner with the fabulous friends mentioned the batt on the Twitter Machine and, next thing you know, the batt was jetting off to a new life full of love, happiness and being petted while being called George.

At some point, the spinner with the fabulous friends sat down and turned the 4 oz merino/silk/yak braid into 636 yards of chain plied yarn.  There was much rejoicing in the living room, and amusement over the fact that the colorway was too perfect because the yarn and the fabulous friends really are the Cat's Pyjamas.
