Last year was pretty bad for you, but you have survived and are healing and growing stronger. That is, basically, what it's gonna take, too. I love the Shetland. I think it would be beautiful combined with a more flattering color at your neckline. A colorwork sweater, ifyouwill (or, ifyouwon't).

It's the time of year that creates in us the desire to knit more, faster, and more often.
Your 2014 will be much better than last year. It will be the year to take care of yourself.

What a lovely brown! Although if it won't work as one colorway, I can see the need for dyeing it. What color would you make it?

You can breathe a big sigh of relief when 2013 bites the dust.

What is that sock pattern? It reminds me strongly of our Natalie's Fast Forward scarf (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fast-forward). I made one of those for the Red Scarf Project and now find that somehow it never made it into Ravelry. Thanks!

Maybe you need some one-legged friends.

Wishing you a Happy 2014!!

xxoo

Wrong weight? You plyed it. Wrong color? You'll overdye it. You can make yarn bend to your will! Bwhahahahaha.

The sock is really pretty. Rejoice that it needs a life partner; that's a good thing. But it doesn't have to match exactly...

I dread to imagine 2014 NOT being a better year than this one. It simply has to be. That is all I have to say on that subject!

Mitts! I think 2014 is going to be the year of the mittens for me. And maybe a sleeve on a cabley sweater kind of year. Maybe two sleeves. I don't want to be overly ambitious!

No yet...heh, heh. ;-) It's a lovely brown. And 2013 - seeeeeee ya!

The yarn is going to make a wonderful sweater. So pretty! What a super sheepy color. :)
And the pink sock is wonderful too.
Sounds like your new year will be busy and fibery.
Wishing you blessings and happiness in the new year.
xoxo

Shetlands come in the prettiest colors. The sweater will be wonderful and more flattering than you think.
What is sock pattern, please? Love it!

I love Shetland brown but alas it is not my color... Your yarn is stunning.
Lovely sock! The yarn is mighty fine too:)
