Sunny & Bright Can Bite Me!

Last Monday morning was foggy, chilly and fabulous.

This Monday morning is sunny, bright and annoying.  There is far too much sunny bright in this climate.  I need more moody dark weather*.

Thirteen skeins/hanks/whatevers of Merino/Mohair/Madness!

Next to be seen in focus and shit in our Joan's part of the world.  It's a Monday morning.  I can't be arsed to get you people a high quality (for me) photo.  Don't worry.   Our Joan will do the yarn proud once she gets it and the sun is out long enough to get photos.

Final yardage was 4849 yards!

Our winner is the lovely and talented Natalie!  She guessed 4800, which turned out to be a pretty good guess. 

I'm a bit disappointed with only getting 4849 yards but y'all saw that coming, right?

Btw, 4849 yards is only 2.76-ish miles.  Again, very disappointed.

Congratulations to our Natalie and many thanks to everyone who played along!

 

*  Give me two months and I'll be longing for sunny and bright.  Just like every other year.

Moody dark weather is better- it has more character. Bright sunny days are sort of vapid. (Says the girl who lived through almost the longest winter on record last year...)

The key to everything being enjoyable is moderation - even the weather. Too much of a good thing and all that comes to mind. Your yarn, however, is certainly NOT too much of a good thing. Amazing yardage!

thats an amazing number. you have a lot of dedication to even spin that long on one bag. i would have used every bobbin in the house trying to get different fiber and braids - because i'd need to switch it up... a lot.

are you actually going to knit it, or is there a plan for someone to do so? I would be thrilled to see the outcome.
