Not entirely sure where the last four days have gone* and I'm okay with that. I don't have any new tattoos and I don't seem to have gotten married or anything while out of it, so I'm good. I don't even have any staples in my head. ;^)
Lookies! I knit our Joan socks! I used yarn she had spun for those socks, btw. I also spun some yarn for her younger son's girlfriend's father, but that's her news.
Did you go wish our Norma a happy birthday yet? Well, did you?!
Lookie what the FedEx guy threw at the house before running off like a terrorist or flaming poo leaver.
(What is it with delivery guys these days?! & What's next? Are they going to slow down and throw the package at your yard without stopping?)
How cute/cool is that?!
It's swag from SayMedia, who owns Typepad, who are the wing beneath my blogging wings... or something.
Don't ask what I had to do to get it. o.O
You wouldn't believe me if I told you. No, really.
In other news, I think I need thai pasta salad now and it's totally Maria's fault. Although, I might be willing to settle for some kind of asian noddle dish. One of the upsides to not really cooking is being willing to settle. ;^)
Shut up.
In other other news, there has been spinning! There might even be photos at some point in the near future. Maybe. Who knows what this week is going to be like. I'm just thankful I survived the weekend. Ovulating during the full moon is a dangerous thing for a girl like me. o.O
/ahem
*Eric Balfour was involved. I think that's why it's all okay. ;^)
The socks you made for Joan are awesome. I wished Norma a happy birthday on Facebook and on her blog. I'm on top off all this social media crap, you know.

Lol at Carole's comment.
The venn diagram of your These Guys Are Hot and my These Guys Are Hot shows two circles with no overlap. In fact, they're not even on the same page.

This has nothing to do with your post other than your appreciation for attractive men, but did you know there's a second Sherlock Holmes movie coming out? I drooled over Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Lawe in the first one and I can't wait to be able to do it again. :)

The socks are Wonderful!
I told Norma Happy Birthday and did the made-up story of how we met...she's a crazy lady! But whatever turns her crank... :)
It's so hot and humid here that I'd almost like to not eat...but in reality that'll never happen!

It may be that ovulating couldn't have come at a better time for you --- The Knitters' Hunk contest is nearer each day!

Oh my, glad those staples are gone ;^)
It WAS a bit of a lost weekend. and it'll be left overs for us, which is a good thing. The only person who got to take a 'to go box' home with them was mum. The rest of them just cried, but only a little.
On my way to Joan's to see the socks.
I wished Norma happy birthday earlier on FB but need to stop by her place too, if only to read the fabulous lies left in the comments :^D

Awwww. Cute card.
I was actually first to wish The Norma happy birthday on her blog. I don't know how that happened.

Marathon viewing?
A weekend without (new) staples is a good weeekend. Getting them out is even better.
And yes. Yes they are. If it's good enough for newspaper "delivery", it's good enough for all deliveries. Just be happy when it doesn't hit a puddle. :)

Oh. Now you're admitting that you had Eric. He wasn't really driving the bus that hit me;-)
Posted by: CindyCindy | Monday, July 18, 2011 at 05:30 PM
I want to know what you had to do to get it.
Posted by: Kym | Monday, July 18, 2011 at 06:17 PM
OK, now I'm really wondering what you did to get that print. Mostly I'm just curious what you're *willing* to do. ;-)
Also: Staples in your head? Did I miss something here?!?

If you don't want to talk about it, I won't even try to make you talk about it. At this point, I think it is only worth mentioning when I can keep track of four consecutive days, as I am losing more and more days all the time now.
Happy Rest Day Monday!

Is there social media? The socks you knit for Joan are spectacular and even more so because it was her handspun yarn. There is something so cool about that connection.

Love the socks you knit for Joan.
Am considering going out into the Big Blue Room later today, after the heat index goes below 100+. Maybe.

Firstly, the socks rock and so does the yarn for Miss K's(if I haven't lost track) father.
Secondly, you get the coolest stuff in the mail.
Thirdly, only 4 days and no tattoos. I'm jealous. I'm sure I've lost at least the last two weeks.

I already admired those socks but I love them so much I can easily do it again: what a spectacular pair of socksies and the color, oh the color,,, pure love! :)
Is that a poster or a print on a t-shirt or what? a girl must know before she demands more info,,,

Someday we'll be happy if the delivery guys even bother to slow down...
Love the sockses. And the yarn. And the Norma. And the (non-stapled) you.

Thank you for making me google Eric Balfour, my day is looking brighter!
Posted by: elizabeth | Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10:23 AM
Eric Balfour, the generic ethnic guy -- yeah, I'd take a lost weekend with him, too. Maybe.
Do not talk about interesting and refreshing and yummy things like Asian noodle salad -- such exoticities (is SO a word) are not available here in the Great North Woods.

Forgot to say: good that there are no staples in your head, but do count your kidneys. Just to be sure.

Love the socks. Now I need Asian noodle salad, stat.

SWEEEEEET! Hey, I want a little icon thingy -- I've been wanting one for ages -- like the little heart you have. I only want a single "N". Who do I have to sleep with to get one???? (Don't need no stinkin' t-shirt, although I do unbelievably love the "It's All About The Dog" one that I got recently. heh.)
Posted by: Norma | Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 04:05 PM
Hugs!
That is very cool swag and you deserve it, no matter what you did. :D
Mmmm. I may need some of that salad as well.
Hope your week improved and no more staples were involved.
