And all I've got is weird stuffs growing on a tree.
Just imagine what it must be like over here. o.0
Wait!
I can link you to the post my TypePad girlie made that shows the mitts I knit her! Scroll down, people.
Isn't she adorable?
The yarn is a merino wool (70%), silk (15%), cotton (11%) and viscose (4%) blend that I found in my stash. The label calls it New Tweed, but it's been here so long, I don't think it's really "new" anymore. It's a worsted weight yarn that I knit with US 4 dpns to get a nice tight gauge with the 1x1 ribbing.
She's going to be wearing them over her cycling gloves, so I wanted something that could do that and keep her arms warm. Plus look cute without the cycling gloves. The yarn has a nice tweediness to it and I think/hope they will wear well.
I am thrilled they fit her and hope she likes them. I really hope she likes the yarn because there's a cowl in her future.
I'm still pluggging away on Lyra, but I knit a row and a half in four hours last night. I need a cowl to help get me through that project. Along with a couple of pairs of socks, a scarf and I don't know what else. We gotta do what we gotta do, right?
Just nod and smile.
Happy Friday!
Beautiful gloves, and yeah, she's adorable. The moss isn't growing on you yet, is it?

Absolutely! Do what you gotta do to get through it. As soon as I can knit again, I'll totally be doing that.
Yak... I got yak. But not yak fiber to spin. But I got yak yarn. O.o A lot of yak yarn. The boy did good. And now we have a punch card for Babetta's. I may send it to you.

Hmmm. The slow down on Lyra chant seems to be working. Just not as well as it needs to. ;)
