That is my work in progress for the week.
(It's not on a bobbin because my bobbins are doing other things.)
Why, you ask.
Because, my darlings, my Lyra is about six rounds bigger than last time you saw it and it's still just a big white blob. The mitts I made have arrived at their new home and were greeted happily. Yay! I'll link you when my TypePad girlie posts about them.
(She's so cute. I asked her how big her hands were and she told me how tall she is. I took that to mean she did not have man hands and I was right. So freaking adorable! Just wait till you see her!)
And the spinning?
Fabulous!
It's some merino/rayon that our Angie sent me almost two years ago. I knew I wanted until I had a wheel to spin it and I'm glad I waited. It's wonderful to work with and has an amazing shiny sheen to it.
I have spun half of it and need to sit down at the wheel and spin the rest.
Then I get to ply, which makes me happy.
Yes, I know that's weird, but we takes the happy wheres we find it.
Happy Wednesday, peoples!
I have a polyurethane headache- our floors are being refinished though the fumes have made it into the walkout basement (despite the sealing of doors and vents) where I spend my day. I've aired it out , but I guess I'm sensitive to it. So I sympathize. Nice singles!

I love that your bobbins are doing other things. Mine are, too. I wonder if they are doing things together.

Hope your headache is over with by now, but 3rd DS's headache relief recipe is, chug a diet coke and take 2 tylenol. It's surprising how much it helps.

Gorgeous stuff!! What are you going to make with it, once you have it plied?
I've been up since 2:30am working. And I have to work again starting at 12:30am (in a little over 1.5 hours). Lucky me!!

Sorry about the headache, but the spinning results look great. I'm now running out to the store and looking for that lipgloss - you are my spokesmodel!

I hope your nugget feels better soon!
I have fiber I'm still too scared to spin. I'd like to think that one day I'll have the courage to make it happen. Until then, I'll just love on it every once and a while.

I hate headaches. . .

I have found that the best headache remedy for myself is amputation at the elbow. (Be warned: this only works once.) But if you can find someone to massage your neck and shoulders, that works pretty well, too.)

Pretty yarn! No negative comments about the t.p. roll allowed -- I used them for several years until I got enough bobbins..
