I know you're all thrilled.
The roving is a fuchsia wool of unknown origin. I saw it at my LYS, it was three dollars and wasn't orange, so I bought it. The spindling is going very well. I'm getting very nice thin singles with it.
While spindling yesterday, I realize that I was wearing that exact color. I really need to stop doing that. I'm weird enough on my own.
The sock in progress will hopefully be a finished pair of footies by Sunday. I don't really want to model just one.
The yarn is a total mystery. I found it in my oddball tub and thought it might be fun to play with. I love the base yarn, but I'm still not sure what I think of the colorway or the pattern.
With luck, I'll be able to have an opinion by Sunday Sock time.
Y'all know how hard it is for me to form an opinion. ;^)
&
The lace?
It's done.
Blocked even. I just need to figure out where to take photos of it since I have to produce nice photos of this one. Nice compared to my usual questionable photos of finished objects.
Y'all know.
Happy Friday!
(It is Friday, right?)
It just feels right to see pink on your blog. Everything looks right, too.

Are you adapting a sock pattern toe up? Love the notes and the math. :-) Some sort of a mystery sock with 70 stitches and a provisional cast on....
Nice fine singles you have going there with your wee spindle. And yes in terms of all that pink, I'd expect nothing less.

Looks like you're having way too much fun over there.
Pink!!

Come to Tucson and you can arrange it artfully in my fuschia-colored crepe myrtle, that any day now will erupt into a multitude of blooms. I think right now there are more buds than leaves. It's amazing what happens when you water your plants.

It had better be Friday or there will be gnashing of teeth.
Thank heaven pink returns!! I think it's adorable to match your spinning to your outfit. :)
You've finished Nefertiti?? Already?

That yarn looks suspiciously familiar. Am I right?

That roving is pretty, bright, and matches the sock quite well. It's better to wear a color close to that roving you are spinning, anyways, the little fluffs of roving that end up everywhere will blend in better! I never match and then I leave the house looking like a colorful dust bunny.

Ah pink, a much more versatile color if you ask me. Sometimes I see it as green, sometimes as red, other times as gray... whereas orange is always always orange. Although so is grass, so, uh, don't mind me.

All is right in your world? Cool. :D
You should see the silk hankies I've been doing. Grab the hankies next time and see for yourself. I'm going to need to do 10 ply with it

Is there something wrong with color-coordinating your roving?
Pink is good.

I like that sock yarn a lot. And now it's Saturday. Yay! I'm happy even if it is cloudy here.
