He felt me watching him (in stunned silence) and paused long enough to give me the dirtiest look I've gotten since jr. high. Then he went back to it.
I just love spring.
Knitting With Manise!
I doubled the Dye Your Own Damn Yarn and am pretending that it's fingering weight. I'm in the middle of repeat #8 and starting to wonder how big it should be. It's going to be a gift once it's been redyed. I'm thinking more purpley will be good.
Thoughts?
Okay...
Thoughts beyond the fact that I need to stay out of the front yard/living room for my own mental well being?
o.O
Mental well being? HA!
Actually, I say you stay IN the front yard. With the hose and the super-mega-sprayer nozzle. That's how DH finally larned the neighbor's chihuahuas to stay away. (And maybe the neighbors themselves learned something when their soaked dogs turned tail and ran in the house.)

What a great idea Carrie! You should total have a hose handy, Cookie.

I almost spit out my Diet Coke (yes, I'm still drinking it). Damn, that's funny. I love your purpley Manise. It's very very pretty. Very very. What's a Manise?

Thoughts:
1) It's lovely as it is.
2) But there is no such thing as too deep a purple.
3) How much yarn do you have?
4) Chacun à son arbre.

Purple is the best possible color for anything, and I think (you asked) you should make it as purple as possible to satisfy -me-
Poor squirrel... We all have to get our jollies at some point, right?
Maybe he's been shunned by all the girl squirrels. Well, then again, after his display today, any hope he had has been lost.

Sometimes, the only good thing that I can say about my neighborhood is that it's squirrel free.
Love the purple - very springy.

Horny squirrels. It never ends with you.

Mmm. Purple.
Have Stacey come and shoot the squirrel.
Yes, it's been that sort of a day.
xo

Hey! Tell Nora she better watch it. Besides... isn't Angie a better shot? And Dr. E lives closer. I'd love to see the battle of the wills there.
How about a darker purple or some black cherry? I've had practice fixing koolaid disasters.

It is beautiful already, though purplier is always good. Squirrels these days, eh?

Squirrel humping a tree? Now I've heard everything, I think. Carrie's idea is perfect! Maybe steal a super-soaker from one of the noisy little neighbors and get him rambo style-heh. Great visual eh??
Kind of a cool purple you have going there. You are so kicking my ass in this KAL we have going. Haven't touched mine all day. One of those headachey-I-don't-think-I-can-face-lace days. I'll be back on my game tomorrow. :-)

A pervy squirrel?? Maybe he's after your yarn?? I think purple is very nice.
Posted by: Leslie | Thursday, April 02, 2009 at 07:49 PM
Listen, if the tree doesn't mind maybe you should just leave the two of them alone. Stick to your knitting, sort of.
And Nora's comment made me burst out laughing.
I like the purple as 'tis, but I'd like it a nice rich deep plum purple too.

BAHAHAHA

Don't you have a bb gun for the squirrelz? ;o)

p.s. pulled a bag today...hated it and pulled another one. ;op I get one freebie, right? hehe

Bless him. There must be frigid females around your area.

If it were me, I'd overdye with blue, but then I'm rather partial to blue. Overdyeing with blue will give a blue with a slight purple cast, depending on how much dye you use.
As for the squirrel... I'm glad someone's getting some action.

I was expecting a photo when I read the title. Damn.

That squirrel needs glasses.
Lovely knitting and I'm looking forward to seeing the overdye results.

Megan told me about the squirrel and her research. I now know more about the squirrel mating season then I really want to know. :P
Purple rocks! Get it on!

Really, there is no excuse for watching the expression of love from a squirrel for his tree with judgment. That's just small minded. :)
I don't know, that's already a nice wisteria looking puplish.

You are too funny - I'd stay away from the front yard, or put a fence around the tree.
Beautiful knitting...as always!
