Go read Jean's post and please consider knitting a hat or four.
I love knitting hats, but haven't had anyone to knit hats for in a while. The joys of singlehoodedness.
feh
However, thanks to Jean and her good heart, I am now able to knit a few hats that I know will go to people who can and will use them.
So...
Last night, I went leftover stash diving and found some purple worsted weight wool and cast on.
With a little help from the yummy Mark Harmon, I have a finished hat that is big enough to fit my giant melon of a head, so you know it's plenty big for a normal person.
Shut up.
It has my usual spiral decreases and the 2x2 ribbing to help keep someone's ears warm. Simple, easy, tv knitting that will help make things a tiny better for someone else.
How good is that?
& Lookie how cute?
Don't you want to take a few hours out of your week and knit a hat or four for someone who is having a hard time?
Aren't we getting close to knit unto others season?
Just sayin'...
Cranky, but with a heart of gold. That's our Cookie. I knit for an elementary school in our area that has a 97% student base that lives at or below the poverty level. Frightening statistic, isn't it?

Hmm, I am test knitting for SM3, but maybe I can squeeze one out. Besides the Noob, I mean.

No official Knit Unto Others this year. Jean has taken up the cause...let's all support her!

In one night. You finished it in one night!?!?!
Sigh. I really need to quit my day job. Else I'll never knit everything I want to knit.
It's nice by the way.

Knitting? WIth yarn? For others? Really? People do that? :D Hats may not be possible, but as soon as I clear enough room to warp my loom, I can kick out a couple of scarves.
Happy Wednesday oh mahhhh-vah-lush one. xoxo

Think Agent Lee is lying?
I can't believe you untangled that mess. Go, Cookie!
Knit unto others? There are others?

I've already donated four hats to my local LYS caps for kids program! As it turns out, this is a great way to give while also learning that the Goddess of Gauge is a cruel, cruel mistress. :)

I think I want to do this.

Very nice, Cookie!
At first I thought you said "singleheadedness."
That does tend to cut down on the need for multiple hats...

Yup, we who have extra should always give a little to those who don't have enough!
