This is what happens when there is one egg left and you don't want to keep a whole carton in the fridge for just one egg.
This is not the weirdest thing in my fridge in case you were curious.
Today's Ten on Tuesday topic is the ten great things that happened this summer.
If you were here during my summer, you know that I can't come up with three great things. Never mind ten.
Somehow, coming up with ten things that totally sucked about my summer didn't have the same ring to it. So, instead y'all get me yammering because I have nothing.
Well...
That's a lie.
I have stuff. I have fabulous stuff. I have a (pink) cowl that is drying and on hold until it is actually dry. I have the knitpicks yarn! But it's for gift knitting, so I can't show you because the giftee is a regular on this here knitting blog thingy. I have amazing Swiss chocolate from the wonderful Silvia. Sent as a thank you for the red silk lace shawl I knit for her.
In case you're not paying attention or new, I am trying very hard to be upbeat today. So far so good. A happy hello from my favorite boy/man/whatever helped. It never fails to amaze me how he always has that effect on me. And, yes, I know why, and, no, it's not for the reasons you're thinking of.
Dirty minded peoples!
For shame!
Where was I?
Oh, right...
I ordered boxes from the postal people because I need to be ready for the next time my mother needs me to drop everything and give her boxes. Don't ask. Just know I didn't fall from that demanding tree. o.0
I went to the post office this morning and got my knitpicks yarn that had been shoved into my P.O. Box. Good thing yarn is flexible. There was a note wanting me to go into the office and pick up something that was waiting for me.
Turns out that it wasn't a single something.
It was a cart full of boxes of boxes, the chocolate from Silvia and I don't know what all else. The staffer who helped me had been looking for a single box and was a little surprised to see a cart full of stuff for me. I tried to explain, but he just looked at me like I was a nut.
He's management and not one of the regular office people who are all used to me and my brand of silliness.
Anyway, I wish I had my camera with me because it was a big loud cart full of boxes and it was pretty funny. Yeah, maybe you needed to be there...
To review:
Trying to be upbeat and happy. Trying to remember that the people who matter deserve my time and energy and the worthless friendless clueless will find a well to fall into soon enough.
Yeah, my kind of happy and upbeat.
Shut up!
I have the yarn I ordered. The replacement tips I need to knit my sweater are on their way, in theory. This is the company who ships shit from the future, ya know.
Things could be worse and I could still love someone who takes me for granted.
So I'm not totally zen and shit, but I'm doing better and will get through today without killing anyone.
Not bad for a Tuesday in the fall, right?
Just smile and nod, honey. Smile and nod.
