There's an angry sounding young man screaming that over and over again on the radio. I think it's music, but I'm not entirely sure. I may be too old to call it.
Finding this bag waiting for me at the post office was one of the high points of my Tuesday.
Isn't it pretty? Jessalu made it for me. Isn't she the best?
No, not the sock. Just the fab box bag. That sock is all my fault. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep going or frog it. I'm feeling a little rudderless right now. Must ponder more.
I do love the little detail on the zipper.
Yes, I am that easy to please.
Well...
I'm either very easy to please or demanding and impossible.
No, you don't to pick which.
That would be cheating.
Happy Wednesday, y'all.

Who would have guessed that I have two straight men lurking in my blog? For some reason, this makes me happy and a little worried.
Then again, they both love me and are painfully aware of how weird I am. So I guess it's okay...
No photos today. I'll make it up to y'all tomorrow. Socks or a story or something. We'll see...
I seem to be the family's message center. Not that I mind. There was an earthquake in southern California this morning and I really don't mind having people calling to check in. So far, so good, but keep your fingers crossed.
When not on the phone or emailing to see how the girlies are doing, I am eating lunch.
A fabulous lunch.
My idea of fast food.
I had a Mandarin Chicken Salad from Wendy's.
Yes, Wendys!
I know what you're thinking, but really. It's fab and came with all kinds of goodies. It was just what I needed.
Well... short of coming into tax-free money and getting to tell people what I really think, anyway.
Shut up.
I got nothing, but tomorrow...
Well, there will be more of nothing, but a totally different nothing.
Wow. Why do you people read me. Jeez...
Happy Tuesday!

I think I need a new schtick.
Shut up.
I love that I have one hetro man lurking along here. *waves @ the straight man*
I also happen to love that one hetro man very much. He has always been the most amazing friend a little freak like me could ever ask for. Now if he and his beautiful wife could just hurry up with the babies...
I love that the socks I knit a friend did actually fit her. If you know me, you know that I worry about this a great deal with I am knitting for feet that are a different size from my own.
I loved all the kind words about yesterday's socks. Thank you very much. I also loved the project ideas. I didn't follow any of the suggestions, but I did love them.
I worked on the endless pink lace, did a little reading and watching In Plain Sight. I love a lazy Sunday.
Not so sure I love this, though...
Although, it does explain a few things.
Maybe I should find a quiet dark place to hide out in until things look better.

Pattern: Waving Lace from the IK Favorite Socks book
Yarn: Yarn Botanika... Radiance... COSM08. A gift from the fabulous Jessica.
Needles: 2.75 mm dpns
Time Served: Four days. 07-22-08 to 07-26-08
Knit for?: Me!
Mods: I used my Cookie Cutter Short Rows for the heels and toes.
This yarn is a wool tencel blend that I love. It is shiny, soft and yummy. I knew that I wanted to knit this pattern with this yarn as soon as I held the yarn.
I love how the colorway knit up with this pattern. It was enjoyable to watch as I quickly worked my way through the easy to memorize chart.
This is the second time I've knit this pattern and I still love it. The lace has a give that makes it a great gift sock pattern. It's also fancy enough looking to make a lovely trouser sock. This is a pattern what I will knit again because I think every yarn brings something new and different to it.
Now I need to figure out what to knit next.
Do I return to the pink lace that's on hold?
Or the red lace that is dead to me?
Or do I swatch Sil's lace weight?
Or start something completely new?
Hmmmmm...
