Pattern: Fiber Trends Leaf Lace
Yarn: Vintage lace weight from The Cabin Cove Mercantile. It's a slightly variegated blueish grey color.
Needles: KnitPicks Options US 5. I cast on with just the tips. Used a 32 inch for a while. Then traded all the way up to the 60 inch cord.
Time Served: It's all a blur as it was my third try of getting this pattern to work for me. Lots of user error on this one. Something like three weeks, I think.
I blocked it with the help of a quarter inch wooden dowel and T pins. I'm much happier with this blocking job. It has some issues, but don't we all? *L* I love the yarn and enjoyed working with it and watching how the colors knit up and patterned.
Because I am a very tense, anxious, controlling person I had some issues with tension compared to the version that Stacey made. I'm a Domme. I don't do relaxed. It's not my fault. Just how I'm wired. However, as most successful relationships require compromise... so I've been told... I will try to relax for the next lace project.
The photos are dreadful because it's crazy windy here today. I'm thinking I should just mail it off to Dave, so he can take pictures of it. What do you think, Dave?
See the leaves? :D
As always, click on the photo to see the larger version.
It is so pretty...actually beautiful is a better word...now everyone has me thinking Lace...
The yarn is stunning...and yup I can see the leaves...you did a wonderful job on it...

It is SO beautiful! Wonderful job! A little bit of bossing your knitting around isn't bad!

I agree with the mailing to Dave idea for photos. You know..he could take a picture of a beat up tin can and make a person say OMG..I have to have one of those!!!
All this lace stuff is making me have urges to try again...is there some sort of medication I can take to relieve that urge??
Beautiful and wonderful work...

WOW! That really did turn out beautifully. And it has such detail.
Sure, you can send it along to be photographed. I might even send it back to you. Maybe. We'll see...

You did a wonderful job. And lace gets easier with each project, you know.

Forget about getting it back. Dave will be wearing it on the bus and chatting on about how lace shawls are all the rage for men in Iceland or maybe he'll make up some exotic sounding location.
You'll never see it again. ;)

It's gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. And the perfect color as well.
And just for the record, it's INTACT male goats that drink their own pee, not NEUTERED goats.
I'm just sayin' ...
