It's partly sunny today, but the oranges don't seem to mind. They'd be happier if I covered them before we had frost, but I think we all know the likely-hood of that happening. *L*
I stayed up way past my bedtime last night/this morning. I watched far too many episodes of CSI:Miami while getting started on a sweater. I figured I would stay up long enough to do the picot edge. Then cried during Doctor Who and decided to just stay up.
Kitty was not happy and kept tapping at me and talking. I guess it's lights out by ten-thirty or I hear about it. Btw, today, she's back in bed. No doubt catching up on her missed sleep from early this morning.
I know it's barely winter. I know the days are just starting to lengthen, but not so we notice it yet. I know that it's a long cold haul before spring brings us rebirth, renewal and the return of the green things. Believe me... I know.
But I think that's why seeing these green shoots from some bulbs makes me so happy. Even though, it's cold and mostly dark, and will be so for a while yet, here's a sign of spring and the sun's warmth returning.
And a sign that I really do need to get out there and finish the late fall tidying up.
Or you could wait a month or two and call it early spring tidying up. :)

Oranges? ORANGES? Growing in your yard? In December???? WTF, woman? That's incredible. I lived in Seattle a few years back, and we picked fresh-bloomed roses on Christmas morning. And I thought THAT was strange. But oranges????

I'm always impressed in our weather differences even tough you aren't that far away. *L*
Tell the kitty to accept that you are the boss around there.
*Bwahahahahaha*
yeah that sounded funny to me too. :P
Hey what color is the yarn for your sweater? :D
*HUGS*
