Pattern: A rip off of Crazy Aunt Purl's Magic Scarf.
Yarn: Caron's Simple Soft Shadows in Autumn Red Their photo is almost as bad as mine. Think rust with variegations of jewel tones. Two skeins used.
Needles: Size 9 straights.
Size: About six inches wide and just under six feet long.
Mods: Auntie wanted me to do ten rows before changing the stitches. I did five. I liked how the squares looked with five rows more than Auntie's ten. Totally a personal taste thingy. I stopped knitting when I ran out of yarn.
I also ignored her number for casting on. I found a width I liked, made sure it would be wide enough, and started knitting. Very easy pattern to customize to your own taste, and I only had to frog it once for size.
Again?: No. This was a very boring knit and I was thrilled to see the end of it.
Lessons Learned: A boring knit is not a happy knit.
Time served: A week and half... off and on... give or take...
The UpSide: It's machine wash/dry.
Can you believe that cabled scarf still is not dry? o.0
Put a fan on it! I love the "time served." Hope the cabled scarf dries soon.

Might have been boring to knit but it looks great, someone is going to love it when it pops out of their care package. What's next?
