Pale blue skies today... and a question.
I've been swatching off and on for that damn cardi I need/want to make. It has not gone well.
The pattern wants me to do the ribbing with US4 needles and the body with US6 or whatever gets me the gauge.
This is where I get into trouble.
I got gauge with US9.
o.0
I am not happy.
I need to swatch with US8s to see how that looks, but I have to actually get some needles in that size. Yeah, gotta leave the house and shit.
Here's my question for ya'll...
If I use US9 or even US8 sized needles for this cardi, should I go up in size for the needles I use for the ribbing?
There's going to be a pretty good size gap in there from US4 to US9. I'm thinking too much of a gap to work without looking really weird.
Thoughts?
Ideas?
Opinions beyond I need a hair cut and need to get those US8s?
Helpful hints?
