It is a beautiful day.
That makes for a nice change after a heartbreaking week. Not only was there the terrorist acts in Paris but, closer to home, I marked the tenth anniversary of the death of a beloved cousin.
Thankfully, there was good, too.*. I managed to catch the Air Force flyover on Veterans Day as they buzzed my little 'burb. As someone who grew up being dragged to air shows and taken along on flying lessons, there's still something about witnessing a low flyover. It was a good reminder of how much I love it here and of the good stuff life has to offer. Even on days when finding the upside is a struggle.
Maybe it's a sign of me growing up or getting old(er), but my priorities have shifted. What and who I hold dear, who and what I have time for, and how I see life, the world, and the people I share my days with.
So much change. Whether folks can deal with it or not.
Thank Bob I am blessed with truly amazing people, who get me and return my calls anyway. Weird, right?
Here's hoping your day is just as beautiful as mine.
* Also lots of compliments on my new-ish haircut. While nice to hear, it's always a little weird when men make a fuss. It's just hair and all I do is grow it and keep it clean. All the magic is good genes and a great stylist.
