The pattern is Knitty.com's Mr. Greenjeans.
The yarn is Paton's Classic Merino Wool in Woodrose Heather. I used less than five skeins and took about two weeks to knit.
I made a few mods to the pattern so it would be something I would be happy with and I am.
I love the button I found at Joann Crafts.
