Ann found out that I am a lapsed quilter and wanted to see something I had done. This is a lap quilt I made using batik fabrics. It was machine sewn and hand quilted. I hate trying to quilt on a machine. The darkest color is a very deep purple, and, yes, that is a hair clippy thingy holding the quilt on a laundry line. When you're single, sometimes you have to make do.
I tried to play with the contrast to get a better shot of the deep purple, but I didn't do a great job of showing just how lovely the fabric was/is.
Not much going on here knitting-wise. I had ripped back the self stripping sock that I had been working on and cast on last night to do both socks at once... toe up. I could not get the yarn to start at the same point on both socks no matter how much I tried. I finally gave up and will have to figure out how to live with it. As I am a freak that needs shit to match, this may take me some time.
And now a little something for the non-quilters...
The rose is Sweet Inspiration and the weed is FeverFew. Trust me, it's a weed.
