Yeah, no clue what time it is, what day it is or what's going on. This is manifesting is charming ways in my personal life, btw. Oh, and it's aggressively SPRING! out there. Today was in the high 70s. There's dirty talk about tomorrow being 80 F. Windows open all day. Kitchen window still open. There would be more windows open but my little neighbor likes to sit in his backyard and smoke pot. I really don't need a secondhand smoke high, thanks. The yellow jackets are all awake and looking for new housing. I've got 2 boxes of steel scrubby things to stop them. Going to be a long summer.
Keep thinking about where I was a year ago. How things have changed for the better and worse. No more jr high dramaz or needy wannabes. For those things alone, I am truly grateful.
Of course, there is far more to be grateful for and I am. Daily. Lately, one of those things is the returning light. Quiet, Margene! The quality of the light. Not so much more light because I will always be a vampire child at heart. Even if I don't get to keep those hours anymore. The light, however, has brought the return of me wandering through my days singing. As Jai will tell if he wasn't so damn shy, spring means singing (and me being sun-burnt & angry). Since I can actually sing fairly well, I figure it's not the worse thing in the world. Plus it's a nice little reminder that no matter how much I lose, there is still that part of me around somewhere...
Good thing wall washing is already on my list. Ack!
Purchase of the week!
I may have had to fight my tiny mother for this one. The lining is rather yucky but I can live with that because I'm the only one who will ever see it. I did have the crazy thought of changing the lining for about 5 seconds but realized even I am not that crazy.
Picking up lunch today, one of those complicated white ladies you see everywhere complimented the bag. First day out and it's already a win. You may not have noticed but those ladies are a hard sell.
Blast from the past, right?
A off-shoot project from CMMDI is the return of the bags. Remember the 'personal sock club' thingy we all tried to do a few years ago? Yeah, like that but not just socks. I pulled enough yarn for 5 different projects and wrote the name of the pattern on each bag. I don't print out patterns anymore, and I know there will be some mind changing taking place.
Hello! It's me!
Either I will get to each bag sooner or later. Or I won't. I make no promises and I tell you no lies. Please notice there will be no fiber version of this. See above mention of crazy but not that crazy. Thank you.
I'm still working on a cabled sock. I am either totally over cabled socks or I'm going to start looking for new cables to play with. I can't decide. I was looking at my project page thingy on Ravelry today and realized that I really have been on a tear with cables lately. Okay... for months. I'm okay with that but having to make 2 of something is starting to make me tired.
Or maybe it's all that singing...
