And hand-spun I have.
I fell hard for Pissed Off Punk Princess superwash Merino over at Stitches N Rows on the Etsy. Now in the spirit of full disclosure, I know the ladies behind this Etsy shop and I adore them. So there!
I spun my usual crazy thin singles. All 4 oz onto one bobbin. Wound it off onto my ball winder and into a yarn cake. Then plied using both ends of the yarn cake. The yarn I got was nice but a bit uneven. So I did it again.
The yarn I got from that was perfect. Exactly what I wanted, and even better once it was dry. Springy, soft and ready to be tucked into the stash because I have NO IDEA what to do with it. Yeah, I suck but that isn't exactly news.
In other news, thanks for the love, people. I am feeling better, and time heals. Blah blah blah. I know that healthy relationships occasionally have growing pains and that we will be better for it. I could just do with a bit less rocky right now, ya know?
In other other news, it is (sort of) raining! Now if the local "news" people would stop saying how this little storm won't cure the drought, my eye may stop twitching. Of course, this is just another way of saying it's dark and slightly moody here. If it stays this way for a while, I may finally be forced to build a light box because you know I have nothing better to do these days...
Are you a member in good standing of Team CrankyPants?! Have you checked in with the mother ship lately? Have you voted in the group poll? Are you going to play along during the Big Drama Games with us? Spinning, knitting, whining about the weather, it's all good!
Btw, if you're not a member and would like to be, FFS, join already! We are very no pressure, no drama, and supportive if that's what you want/need.
If you don't know if you're a member in good standing, ask yourself if you (or your husband) are actively stalking me, my blog, or my friends. Or have done so in the 18 hundred months. Either real or imagined.
I think I'm spinning. Or knitting a sweater. Or finishing that second sleeve. Only time will tell.
