I have no idea how or why it's Wednesday. I just know that it feels like it took a week and a half to get here. I was asking how it was still only Monday by 2 Monday afternoon. That kind of week.
Cocktail of the summer: Vodka Tonic with lime fruit bars.
Don't judge me.
It was fabulous.

I have plied all the singles from the other day. Soaked etc all of them (& a pair of socks) and am currently waiting for shit to dry. The house smells like we've got sheep eating a salad in a steam bath but whatever.

Since it's WTF?! Wednesday:
Saw something interesting happen on the Ravelry Machine the other day. A mod of a good sized group totally lost her shit. I'm sure she didn't mean her post to read the way it did, but it read like a declaration of war. (The best part? Her issue was with something that has nothing at all to do with the group and everything to do with how the site was coded... and humanity. Can't forget the humans!)
I did a little post stalking (because how could I not?!) and it looks like she may be a newer mod or not that active on the boards in the first place. There's also that chance that she's new to boards as a whole, which would explain what happened. There also may be a little age/online experience/culture clash thing going on.
The thread didn't get far before a more experienced mod arrived and shut things down, but even that was a bit ham-handed. Very interesting to see how other folks handle small dramaz on a message board. (Honey, I could tell you stories! o.O ) OMB! Someone dared to disagree with me! HULK SMASH!!!
Then there was the mod, who in another group, admitted to editing posts that violated their group's rules. For some reason, this stunned me. I would never edit a post written by someone else unless there was a bloody good reason to do so.
This mod acted like it was nothing and totally common place. Made me think about the groups I'm a part of and what kind of damage a mod could do if they wanted to. Not breaking news by any means, but still something to think about while I sip a lovely adult beverage and ponder WTF is wrong with people.
Happy Wednesday, people!
