A lizard, who was running like fuck away from the lawnmower. He's bigger than the one living under the freezer in the garage, but is not as large as the one who lost part of his tail to the lawnmower last summer.
My life, flashing before my eyes*.
The lung I coughed up while enjoying allergy season hell spring yard work while pushing/pulling/being dragged against my will by/with the lawnmower.
A vole/gopher/OMG WTF?! hole that I'm still trying not to think about. I'm too busy wondering when snake season starts.
Twelve zillion little sticker/burr/thingies that stuck to my socks/pants/top/hair.
No wonder I don't enjoy the yard working. /cough
* Vastly disappointing albeit slightly racy in parts. Although, not nearly racy enough.

You need to hire a Yard Boy so you can supervise and enjoy the view.

Do you have black flies? It's black fly season here - little nasty biters that I seem to be allergic to. Itching and swelling and purple blotches - that goes so nicely with the runny nose from the pollen. Gee, I love spring...

I imagine there was a sh*tton of pink

Since we agree on the allergy/yardwork nightmare, why don't we put in pools with cabanas and instead of hiring a yard boy we could hire a pool boy? No allergies. Easy on the eyes. le sigh.

Yes, you need a sexy yard boy to handle both the yard and the critters. I am ignoring the snake season thing. I don't want to even think about snakes!

Lizards, gophers and snakes. Oh my! And when you throw in the allergies I think you do need a cute young thing to help you out with the yard work! ;)

You poor dear. Time for a condo?

We have loads of chipmunk holes around our yard. I'm always worried I'll fall in one and break an ankle!

Lawnmowers. *Shudder* They scare me. The power type, anyway. I don't mind the manual push-mowers too much. But I'm ever so much happier since we ripped out all of the grass and planted flowers instead.
I believe I have finally been triumphant over all of the field bindweed in my garden (I will not call it 'wild Morning Glory', it doesn't deserve that name), though I do still have TRUE Morning Glory seedlings popping up here and there.

Uhoh, bindweed.
I've got a manual push mower. People think I'm insane, but I hate gas fumes and loud buzzing noises, and it never tries to pull me along. I hate grass.

Yard work, meh. Maybe it's the bad back talking, but looking at our yard is depressing. All the dandelions sprang back up after hubby mowed & I'm not able to get the weed whacker going to go out there & lop them all down.

OMG I HATE THOSE STICKY SEED THINGS. Yes I hate them enough to shout about it.

At least you don't have wood ticks. I pick a least a couple off the cats/dog/myself daily.

I HATES the bind weed. And the sticky burr things. And gopher holes. And lawnmowers. But flowers are nice.

Echoing the sexy yard boy sentiments. Send him my way when he's done!

I refuse to do anything that might cause me to find a snake in the yard. Nope, not going to happen. You need 2 boys, one to do the yard work, and one to fan you and bring you cold drinks...

That reminds me; it will soon be time for the gifting of dead voles from the stray cats.
Maybe I should do something about my life so that if one day it flashes before my eyes it is something worth watching. Then again, that is an awful lot of work.
Hope you are feeling better after this ordeal. xo

The things you find in the yard! At least they're pretty weeds. I hope your lungs are growing back!
