Our Sairy and our Sharon are walking for ovarian cancer. AND our Jessalu made fabulous bags (seen below) that she sold to help raise funds for the walk(ers) that she sold in her shop. This is proof of that age-old wisdom... if you snooze, you lose!
Speaking of friends, we're getting the band back together... and then some!
Team CrankyPants is returning for another triumphant race. If you're a member of the Team and you're up for another Tour, then you need to check in with the group to get your marching/spinning orders. If you are a non-crazy reader/commenter/lurker and you would like to join Team CrankyPants, now if your big chance! If you're a scary kind of crazy, please find another Team. Thank you kindly.
Also!
Team Cupcake is joining the ranks for the Tour de Fleece this year!
YES!
A spinning team devoted to the Cupcake Fiber Company* and it's lesser known division, The Meat Sheep Industries. Any and all (non-crazy) spinners are welcome to join and spin Cupcake Fiber and/or Meat Sheep fluff with the rest of us.
Interested parties, who do not know where to go, are encouraged to comment here and/or message me at the Ravelry machine.
Watch this space for news and updates and maybe even blog buttons. I have to call the Art Department and see what's what. As the Art Department has taken up the ukulele*** all bets are off.
* There's currently a Tour related coupon** running on that shop. Shop early and shop often!
** You do need to be a member of the Team or the Tour to use the above mentioned coupon.

I have very lofty goals for the tour this year. Remember that sweater's-worth of fiber Joan dyed and carded while I was visiting last summer? That needs to turn into yarn. Am I able to participate in Crankypants AND Cupcake Fiber with the same project?

I'm wondering if I can dust of the wheel and get back into spinning. Just wondering, not doing, as yet. If nothing else I'll be a cheer leader! Go Team Cranky!

Go, Cranksters, Go! (I'm a great cheerleader. . . )

It can't possibly be time to start talking Tour de Fleece. Can it?

I just joined Team Crankypants! But only in the cheering capacity...not gonna start spinning....nope...not gonna do it.

Uh oh... no, I don't have a huge pile of cupcake fiber sitting around waiting to be spun. Nope, not me.

I'm all cranky & ready to spin. Is it time yet? No?

Glad I didn't snooze, I snagged a bag yesterday. Yay! I am excited for the Tour! Have to get my wheel tuned up or use my spindles...I am practicing right now to spin some fiber for a shrug for my son's fiance to wear with her wedding gown. Have to get it just right or I won't be satisfied.

Thanks for posting this! Amazing that all the bags went so fast :D
I'll be on team crankypants for sure - means I'll actually have to spin for once - it's been so long! xo

Oh. I was all excited until I saw the non-crazy part.

I'm not a spinner :-(
But I shake a mean pompon!

I'm both overwhelmed at the idea of thinking about the Tour and fantasizing about a time when I can just spin or run away until some people recover from a bout with some zombie drama llamas. xoxo
