Last Friday in the dark tiny hours of my morning (crack of 6.30), my phone began to vibrate. It's so loud that it woke me. By the time I got my headset/ear piece thingy in my ear, the call had ended. I called back, thinking/fearing the worst, and was told that she dropped the phone on the laundry room floor and it called me. Well of course, it did. Who else would it call for help?
This was a reminder to me that I really am an old fire horse in some ways. It took me over hour to get back to sleep and I was off kilter for the rest of the day. This was even better than the text photo that I got one morning at 5.30. This also makes me grateful that the Age of the Booty Call is over in my world. Clearly, I'm just too old for that nonsense now.
Then there was this...
They were custom made and shipped to me in less than a week. In fact, I got them a week after I had ordered them. I'm thrilled and very impressed. I've also decided that next time I'm depressed and need something shiny to cheer myself up, I'm going back to this vendor.
They are poppy earrings, btw. :p
& Speaking of poppies, it's been raining off and on for the last few days. While we did have a day where it was too windy to use an umbrella, mostly it's been umbrella friendly rain and I couldn't be happier.
This is very good for the snow lovers, for the water supply and for my beloved poppy umbrella.
Speaking of love, did you see our Cindy's blog post today yesterday?
They are pretty earrings! It is a mood improver to buy something for yourself. :D
A kitty approved and hat and toy...excellent.

Fabulous earrings. I hopped over to that vendor and oh, if only I didn't have that pesky budget with no disposable income in it right now! I lost an amethyst earring on Saturday (it's only the second earring I have ever lost, and it breaks my heart)and the plum poppies would have been a perfect replacement pair. I almost hit the button and then remembered that I may have to pay for a wedding in September, when funds are already tight...pulled my trigger finger back like it was going into a flame. I don't have the earrings, but I am proud of myself for having some restraint. Somehow that doesn't even things out though.

Now you just have to teach our Joan's phone about time zones. . . It seems to me that it thought it was quite reasonable to phone for rescue at 9:30am.
Poppies & polka dotted umbrellas - the best things in life really are quite simple. The only thing better would be the addition of polka dotted rain boots.
