I told her that it's more like watching yarn dry because it is, but then I remember Otter's Ocean. I never blogged this because it was a (very late) gift for my darling Otter. The fiber was a custom color order from the Cupcake Fiber Co and the fiber is Alpaca/Merino/Silk.
I have since been given a full size nitty noddy (Thank you, Otter!) and have figured it out how to use it. So 1) y'all can bite me and 2) yardage amounts in this post are totally wrong.
This yarn as a wonderful shine from the silk and maybe from the alpaca and is crazy soft and lovely. This, btw, is coming from someone who does not like alpaca.
Yeah, I hate alpaca.
So?
It still makes gorgeous yarn. That, happily, I don't have to knit with. :p

That's a gorgeous shade of blue, like the color of the ocean. Lovely spinning job.

I thought I was the only one! I don't really like alpaca, either. Beautiful yarn.

You hate alpaca? More for me! That's just gorgeous. Love the color and the sheen and yarn! How do you spin laceweight so finely and evenly?

Gorgeous!! Lucky Otter! ;)

I have discovered that I am not all that fond of alpaca myself.

My first alpaca-spinning experience was with a spindle. Spinny-spinny-thunk. Spinny-spinny-thunk. Picking the spindle up off the floor every 3 seconds got to be a bore much faster than you'd think...

Well, whatever, I sure had fun spinning this blend. You made some lovely lovely yarn.

Oh, how gorgeous is that blue green? I do like alpaca, so I would be doubly happy with it! Lucky Otter!

Beautiful yarn and color. The color reminds me of my darling fluffy but it's more green?
Excellent spinnibng job as usual.
(note to self: never send Cookie yarn related in any way to Alpacas)

I had no idea you were spinning all that yarn and winding it without a niddy noddy. Dear lord. The spinning is fabulous, of course!

Hate alpaca! I never knew! Hate angora, yes. Alpaca of the baby variety - bring it on!

Beautiful yarn!

It is gorgeous yarn! It took me awhile to make decent yarn with alpaca, it's hard for me to hit that sweet spot of enough twist to hold it together, but not so much that it's harsh.

Pretty and perfect, as always. ;-)

You should mention that the yardage is MORE than us listed in the tag. ;)
You rock, but you already know I know this.
The fiber is wonderful, the color is wonderful and the spining is wonderful. The name is also wonderful. *grin*
Thank you so much!!!

Wonderful yarn Cookie, I like to spin alpaca but don't like knitting with it. Doesn't make sense I guess but I don't have to really, do I?
Terrific colour, I can't read the yardage but I am guessing that there is plenty.

Such gorgeous color and amazing spinning!
I have similar feelings about alpaca. It is so soft and lovely, but kind of dead fiber for me.
