Hai!
Did you know I wasn't dead? Yeah, I was surprised to find that out my own self. I'm sure it comes as a shock to all y'all.
- Tour de Fleece starts this Saturday! (No, I'm not ready and no, I have no idea how I'm going to balance proper football and cycling.)
- I got my hair cut the other day and canNOT believe how much gray/white there is now. I sort of love it.
- Although, not getting carded when I bought vodka last week made me a little sad. /sigh
- Blame the lack of cute hair photos on the Otter, whose job it was to take said photos. We even talked about it yesterday while at lunch. (The fact that I have a mind like a sieve had nothing to do with the lack of photos.)
- /ahem
- My favorite out of no where text of the week: My boobs look amazing right now!!
- A close second: Amish!!!
- Is there any question as to why I love my friends?
- While at lunch, the Otter also asked me about the fiber that I had turned into (really bad looking) batts using my Jean's drum carder (with very little supervision). (Just because I look like I know what I'm doing does not mean I actually know what I'm doing.) (Shut up, Teg.) I told her that Margene asks me about that, too, but that I hadn't taken any photos yet.
- Then she gave me that Otter Look and now I have a photo...
Bad photo of bad batts. /sigh
- The fiber came from Wild Hare Fiber Studio on Etsy. It's BFL in the colorway Seashell. This is the purchase that made me realize just how off my monitor was, btw. I wasn't prepared for the pink bits and was afraid that the yarn might stripe. As I'm pondering (maybe) a cardi out of that yarn, stripes would be bad.
- So very bad.
- If you are spinning for the Tour de Fleece on Ravelry, she has posted a couple of sale/discount sort of things in the sale/discount sort of thing thread in the main Tour de Fleece group.
- The batts are too loosey goosey because I didn't know what I was really doing until it was too late. However, I now know what I'm doing. (Shut up!)
- & I am thrilled with my new more blended fiber.
- In other news, these weird days with no proper football are killing me. I have no idea what to do because there's soccer match to watch. This is so wrong.
- Please remind me of this in a week when I'm trying to balance my life (HA!), proper footie and cycling.
- It's going to be ugly, people.

But! It's gonna be fun!!!!!!! I am truly sorry about the football thing, though.

There are NO haircut photos? What the hell? Ducking and running now.

From another nearly-entirely-white-haired-person --- right on!
I am also with you on the no soccer thing. Just all of a sudden, there are NO matches! What is up with that? Like these guys need a rest or something?

How can I give you "that look" when we can't see each other. I can't even really give you what for because you can't hear my what for voice. So, it takes Otter to get photos, eh? Well, I'll be...
At least it's a pretty pink and the color will be fabulous with your newly graying hair. Welcome to the club.

The people want hair photos. :-)
Silver-grey-white hair is the new black. (And who wants to dig out their id every time they want some vodka? Definitely overrated.)

Hey, where do the Tour de Fleece cheerleaders sit?

You poor thing, they should never just take away your real football all at once! What were those people thinking! You will now have to go threw the real football withdrawals and I've heard they are quite severe. lol
AND, one more thing as I'm not a spinner.....As I was reading your post and I eyed the picture of your batts I thought it was a picture of a turkey breast. dah

Pretty pink fluffs!
As if you were going to actually put a picture of your haircut on here. In our dreams!
And now because I'm a chicken and don't dare go white, I'm heading to the local hairdresser so my white roots don't show in the wind on the 4th of July picnic. o.0

Oh sure, you had to go telling everybody about the sexy stuff Wild Hare Fibers had in her shop. Somebody went and bought the fiber I had my eye on! I snoozed, I loosed.

I'm glad you're back-I thought Joan was still on the train with the little rat bastards and you had to go and save her! Your fluff looks like cotton candy-hope you turn it into something yummy.

Tour de fleece can't be starting on Sat. I've got to move us in the nest few weeks and my computer died. I can't post pics even if I do manage to get some spinning done. Besides the batts don't look that bad. Though they are pink. Though I really like pink. have fun.

I like your fluffy batts, and politely request makeup photos of the haircut.
The boob text had to have come from Carrie.

The pink fluff is beautiful and I'm quite envious of your gray/white being in more abundance. Premature white on mom's side but did I get that gene? hell no. bah.

Whenever I have one of those moments wherein I discover how much more white hair I have, I am shocked, and then, OK.
Even though the batts have troubles, they are beautiful!
Wait, we were supposed to be prepared for the Tour?
