Shocking, I know.
I still can't figure out why she even puts up with me, but whatever. (One of the these days we'll talk about the dream I had where she hated me and was YELLING at me. 0.o )
And I am thankful for Norma's friendship and support over the years. Not just for the merino/silk fluff from Corgi Hill Farm, either. Although, the fluff didn't hurt and she did totally make my week.
I also truly grateful that she gave me something to photograph for this post. Fodder is a bit thin on the ground over here these days.
Although(!!!), I am on the last couple/few rounds of Lyra.
Hear that sound? It's angels singing, people.
& Very happy and thankful to see George Lopez doing his show every night. It's nice to see a familiar face on late night. While I do like the white folks just fine (and had a huge thing for David Letterman as a teenager), it's nice to see one of your own doing late night. Better still because he's actually funny.
Thankful in a slightly snarky sort way to see that Carrie Prejean girl is finally getting what she deserves. (I don't know a lot about conservative Christians, but I'll bet money they don't walk around in string bikinis and heels on stage very often. With or without the ass shakin'.)
I am also thankful that I did not drop my coke today.
It really is the little things, people. Like having the spinning go well or getting a compliment on a sock in progress from a non-knitter or a free car wash. Or knowing that you're going to get through another day just fine.
See! Thankful and still cranky.
Makes you wonder what I'll come up with for next week, doesn't it? ;^)
Hey! What's on your list today?

you're almost finished with lyra?! i thought you were too busy spinning to knit! /thud
yes. it's the little things that make the day. like i was able to blog today and i have a list on the blog. it may not be the list i was supposed to have, but a list it is!

Ditto on the Prejean woman. Bleh.
Mmm, cotton candy. It is teh yum.
Yay for the coke!

That fluff has your name written all over it, how could she not send it to you? Well that and the fact that you are rather lovable.
And I love you so much I'm gonna send you Andy!

I love George Lopez, but sadly I have not watched him. I just don't watch that much TV. I don't even know what you mean by the Prejean girl, and so I will leave here and Google it.....
Posted by: Norma | Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 03:52 PM
It is the little things. Like getting a free private karate lesson for my kid after I yelled at the owner of his school for not letting parents know the school would be closed on a random Saturday a few weeks ago. I always knew my temper would get me somewhere...

Looks like candy! I don't know who the Prejean girl is either. I am, officially, In the Dark. But what else is new. . .

Those batts look like cotton candy!

Love the cotton candy fluff! Norma's a sweetheart.
Glad to hear you didn't drop that coke again!
Haven't found George yet. Will have to look him up. He's gotta be better than everyone else out there in late night. They are all really lame.

That is so Cookie looking. I love it. Norma is a very special friend, isn't she? I'm so glad you didn't drop your coke. Too expensive no matter what Joan said(I know she wasn't shocked). Have a wonderful Friday and the a great rest of a Thankful Thursday, dumplin'!

beautiful fluff.

I thought that you canceled this week? What are you doing here?
Posted by: Squish | Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 06:37 PM
I saw the video of the Prejean chick on Larry King Live ... all I can say is who died and crowned her Princess? What a tool.
Love the pink fluff. Pink fluff is pretty.
As for little things making me happy, one of my favorite bloggers is back after a long hiatus: http://www.missdoxie.com/. And she has a kitteh. And the story of how she came to have this kitteh made me laugh until I cried.

Love that fluff! Check my space on Sat. -- you're given me an idea! ;-)

Was too shocked.
Love the fluff, I know you will love spinning it.
Is Lyra blocking yet? Do you need to borrow 400 T-pins? I think I have that many (and a partially knit Lyra if you are interested).

The video was painful- what a moron she is!

Lovely gift you lucky girl.
I have no idea who Carrie whatsherface is but I can only assume she is some tart who has got what she deserves.

That pink fiber is absolutely gorgeous. I want to reach out and touch it! As for Carrie Prejean. heh. That's all I'll say here but you know what I'm thinking.

Nice fluff. :)
Also, I can't wait to see your Lyra!!!

I'm so glad this arrived for you when it did. Sometimes we need the extra reminder of the love.
After the last few rounds of knitting Lyra, does it all end in crochet?
I have wondered about the new George Lopez late night show, but grew weary of the commercials about two weeks ago. I'm glad to read your positive review.
Thankful and cranky. Yep.

That yarn (probably not the right term, I know) looks super soft!
I didn't see it live, but I saw some of the Larry King interview with Carrie. It was great. :) I hope her book sells one copy.

I'm thankful that R is over at his dad's doing firewood and since I have to start cooking my arse off for t-day tomorrow, I didn't have to go move wood from one place to another.
...because this princess doesn't split wood for nuthin. ;op
