I love this project and I am looking forward to being able to wear this cardi.
I had to stop working on it while I wait for the new tips to arrive because I am at the point where I need to separate for the arms and I don't trust my current stripped tips to do the job.
Yesterday dawned windy and chilly. Today we are currently under some kind of wind warning that doesn't end until tonight or tomorrow morning... depending on who you listen to.
Today is also colder and has me very glad that I made soup yesterday. Someone, and I can't remember who because I suck as a human, linked to a yummy sounding beef, leek and barley soup the other day. So yummy sounding, in fact, that I actually made it yesterday.
Yes, that's a huge deal. Princess doesn't cook.
It's a very simple recipe to make that leaves a lot of leftovers if you're single (or if there's just two of you at home) or can feed a crowd if you're outnumbered. Don't believe me?
Well, I have eight one cup servings in the freezer, two more in the fridge for this weekend and it was also dinner last night. AND I didn't add any extras to the recipe. If I had, I would have even more soup and would have needed a bigger pot.

I am currently working on a semi-gift knit and trying to plug away on the pink lace. The semi-gift knit is a lot of fun and I am loving it. The pink lace is the same edging chart over and over and over and over and over...
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Yeah.
I'll get there. Just not today. I have soup to eat and wind to avoid. Not bad goals for the coming weekend, eh?
Happy Friday, y'all!

Happy Friday to you! I love the pink to be cardi. The soup sounds great. I'm a sucker for leek/potato soup, but it's too warm right now for me to even think of soup. Stay grounded and comfy and have a terrifically great weekend!

Those are excellent goals. And that is going to be a great cardi! Also, that soup sounds wonderful.

I don't know who linked to the soup a few days ago but I found the same recipe via CherylS's blog today and plan on making this weekend as your cold is going to come this way and snow on us. Yes, I did intend for the sentence to go on and on.

love that color - looking forward to seeing the finished cardi!
Thanks for the soup linky - I tend to make soup on Sundays in the fall/winter and this one sounds yummy.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Angie linked to the soup.
Love, love, love the pink and that it's knitting to the gauge you needed. Sorry about the lace edging, it'll end eventually.

Oh, yum. The sweater. And the soup. And you cooked! Yay!

I have that pattern. Haven't been brave enough to start it yet. The stitch marker is pretty too.
I need to learn how to make soup from scratch.

The sweater looks good and I love the marker. I saved that recipe too - glad to know it turned out!

I knew Joan would know - I figured it was either Nora or Angie. Hmmm, barley and beef? Might need to try my hand at that myself. Yum. 'Sposed to be rainy and windy here tomorrow. Just in time for us to go running around a punkin patch pickin' punkins.

Also, I forgot to say FANTASTIC cardi. Why on earth did you waffle about that for so long?

Love the pink cardi! Beautiful shade of pink.
I did link the soup but I may have been one of many. Yummy, isn't it? It freezes well. I took a frozen serving on the road with me this past week and it was still very good.

The soup sounds wonderful. I think I'll sneak over to Margene's house this weekend and steal some.

Which sweater is that? I want sweater weather. Instead, I turn on the AC and play pretend.

I love soup that makes a lot so you can have it in the freezer - thanks for the link. The cardi is going to be beautiful - great shade of pink!

That sounds like a lovely weekend. Soup. I think I'm going to pick up a pizza on the way home because while I do cook (occasionally) after working on a Saturday? I do not feel like it. Also I feel very sorry for me and I'm just going to babble on your blog about it probably horribly inappropriately.

I spent last evening and today with a bunch of fiber friends. Dang being sociable is tiring! I wish I had some of that soup here. I think I'll opt for a soaky hot bath followed by a pb/jelly sandwich.

The cardigan is a lovely shade and I'm sure you'll get a whole lot of use out of it. I think I know which sweater that is and I just have to find the perfect yarn for mine. Well, once I finish a pink Hey Teach. Yeah. I'm a slacker. Although being laid out for the weekend is giving me some knitting time. Happy Weekend! xoxo

Love the shade of pink for the top down. MY FAVORITE kind of sweater knitting. Just finished two. Have yet to post the one with shaping. I used cosmopluto's version 2 of her fitted raglan. Came out cute. My first stab at shaping a bit .
