I have a new stats counter thingy. We have a reader in New Zealand. How cool is that?!
Actual knitting content ahead... try not to faint...
Okay, they're just socks, but knitting content is hard for me to share now because of the gift knitting going on.
So socks it is.
This pair is made of Regia 6 ply yarn that is 75% new wool (compared to old wool, I guess) and 25% polyamide.
It is something called "Crazy Colors", but I'm not entirely sure what that means. I'm guessing it's referring to how the colors stripe up.
This photo is much better color-wise with the baby pink and rosey pink shades that my in progress photo was lacking.
I'm trying to love the funky fraternal twin thing they have going on. We'll see how that goes. Ya'll have no idea how hard it is to go from total control freak to being relaxed enough to love fraternal twin socks... and to do it without any drankin'.
Maybe booze would help with the adjustment...
Hmmmmm...
In local news, we had our first frost this morning, I don't look nearly as good in a grey lace shawl as our Carole, and I have to go to the grocery after four this afternoon to buy a cooked turkey breast.
Don't ask.
You do not want to know.
Trust me.
It's too weird for words over here.

Yes, I do want to know. I was a cat in a former life and I didn't learn my lesson.
I can't even tell they're fraternal except at the heels and toes. Maybe that's the craziness coming out.

I think the fraternalness of those socks is wicked cool. And I bet you look great in a lace shawl of any color.

I love the socks, they remind me of a family I know with two sets of twins that are only 11 months apart, none of them are identical but one from each set almost could be, you have to look very closely.
Hurray for already cooked turkey. My mother is stressing about the lack of thawing of our bird. I said buy fresh, she said no so here we are with a bird in the sink and three dogs. And if the stat counter thingy says Tonawanda, that's me, Grand Island doesn't have enough people with cable internet to get it's own locale.

Is it blogpatrol??
I love the craziness of the socks. They are wonderful and bold and funky in their stripeyness.
I do want to know why you need a cooked turkey breast. Are you having the festivities ? Or is it you and kitty. which right now? sounds heavenly!! haha
Wanna come over for dinner tomorrow? I have gravy!!

The socks are great. Let go. It's ok. :D I wanna know about the breast too! And since when is "It's too weird for words over here" something new? I mean REALLY. If it weren't weird, I'd be worried.
MALLARD PIE!!!!

My brother IS bringing Tofurky to Thanksgiving. I'm practicing being polite about it:
no thank you, none for me please.
no thank you, none for me please.
no thank you, none for me please.
no thank you, none for me please.
no thank you, none for me please.
no thank you, none for me please.

Let's hear the dish on the cooked turkey breast. We want to know.
The colors of the socks are so much nicer in this photo. They are both striped so that makes them twins, right? /ducks and runs

Yes, yes I want to know! Why the cooked turkey breast?
As for the socks .. you can over come this. Promise. I have a pair of mitts in the same colorway and they work just fine.

I have trouble with the fraternal sock thing too, but yours look nice. I guess I only have trouble with it when they're mine :-)
Happy Thanksgiving!
