Pattern: Knitty's Crusoe. * The larger size.
Needles: Susan Bates US4 DPNs. They're pink. It's hard to hate them.
Yarn: Kung Hei Fat Choy colorway from Scout's Indie Swag Club V 1.0 It's a super wash wool. Super soft and yummy.
For?: Me. I love how they turned out and how they feel.
Mods: I used a larger needle size to get the right gauge for this pair of socks. The pattern calls for a US 1. I used US 4. See! Control freak knitter. :p
I made the cuff shorter.
I also moved the stitches around a little while working on the gusset and foot. The pattern has you Yarn Forward and slip 2. Then move the Yarn Back and knit 2. I wasn't liking the weirdness that I was getting when the Yarn Forward and slipping was the last thing I did on that needle. So I moved the last stitch from Needle 1 and the first stitch from Needle 3 to Needle 2 and that made the slipping and yarn moving much easier for me.
Again?: Yes. I really liked this pattern and can see how it will come in handy in the future for yarns that are very bright and need a little pattern to make them happier or tamer or something...
Once the sun has moved around a bit, I'll try for a better modeled shot. The combo of weird sunlight and me being out of it really had an effect on photos this morning. Nothing like a minor overdose of an OTC migraine med to help a girl a sleep.
Happy Weekend, ya'll!

Careful with that otc stuff. Too much acetaminophen can be deadly dangerous.

Very, very pretty sockies! How can you have knit 10 pairs of socks already and I haven't even started ONE?

very pretty -- I have been eying up crusoe, but couldn't really see the pattern in the picture on the pattern -- your colour shows it much better. Very pretty (I think you are slowing drawing me into the Pink Side! ~ you seem to knit a lot of it and I seem to like a lot of what you knit -- hmmmm ?)

Oh, you did change your blog look (must have been very recently?) -- It is very pretty, but I gotta say, I do miss the swatch on top of your page (i found that to be very clever -- I I was covetting it -- I don't know much about blogging, and just have a standard "here's what you can get online at blogger" blog)
The pinkness of it is very nice!
