AKA The Coolest Socks EVER!
Pattern: Marina Piccola by Kate Gilbert designed for Scout's Indie Swag Club V1.0
Yarn: Marina Piccola dyed by Scout for her Indie Swag Club V1.0
Needles: 2.75mm DPNs
Time Served: Less than a week.
For?: Me!
Mods?: I used a larger needle size than the pattern called for.
New Skills: Knitting a star toe. I love it and will have to use that toe again.
This was my first sock using a chart successfully. I'm very happy with how it went and how quickly the socks were finished.
Again?: If I can ever find a yarn with the right color or colors OR if Scout ever decides to dye and sell this color again, yes.
Oh! And Kate Gilbert mentioned her blog a couple of weeks ago that she is reworking this pattern for sale. So there's still a chance to get a version of those pattern if you like it and missed out when it was a monthly package from Scout. Talk to Scout about yarn. I know I would.
Love these socks... in case ya'll can't tell. ;^)
Must mow lawns today. Once I'm done, I'll see about modeling the socks and adding photos. I'm posting so early because someone was whining about my lack of Sunday Sock post.
Editing to Add more sock photo:

Yeah!! The color and the pattern go so well together. Reminds me of a pool on a hot day. Great job!
Which you'll be begging for after you mow. You need to hire a neighborhood kid. At least it's cooler today? Or something.

So right...those are very cool socks!! I hope Kate does publish the pattern (or a variation) soon so those of us silly enough NOT to have been on Scout's sock club list can knit an almost similar pair.
Did you type yard*s*? whew.

I'm reading my bloglines and catching up- I agree with Stacey, this totally reminded me of when you're looking down into a pool while the water moves and light hits it just right. Awesome socks!
