The Sock Kit Arrived!

Clickie to bigify photos

1_039_1 Yes, "bigify" is a word.

:p

It came!  It came!  My KSKS box came!

And it could not have come on a better day.  Saying it's been a crap week would be understating... like saying it's a bit chilly at the North Pole at New Years.

No... really.

While the waiting was killing me, I am very happy that it arrived today.   The timing was lovely.

Isn't the basket pretty?

Can you believe she made me a basket?  o.0

With a reversible liner that doubles as it's own little bag, no less?  And in colors that I love.

It's the perfect sock bag for me as I only knit at home.  Perfect size, too.  Too small for kitty to sit on or take from me.

I love that it doubles as a bag on it's own, too.  If I ever get myself under control, I can take it to the park with me.

1_057 The Boston Baked Beans are gone, btw.  They were yummy.

Yeah, I'm full of sugar...

So?

The lovely yarn is called Girls Night Out and was dyed just for me by Dani of Sunshine Yarns.  It's 100% Superwash Merino Wool.  I cannot wait to working with this yarn.  It is soft, pretty and just lovely.

Would it be weird to put that basket on the coffee table?

There was also a bag of asian jelly type candies in yummy fruit flavors.  No, I have not eaten them all.  Only tried one, thank youverymuch.

1_046_2 I also received some Bryspun DPNs.  I've seen them at the yarn stores, but have not gotten around to trying them.  Since I broke a bamboo DPN the other day, I'm looking forward to trying something that will bend with me.

The pattern is Fibers Trends AC-52.... Raindrop Lace Socks.  They have my old friend the heel flap and look like a lace I can handle without too much upset or swearing.  *L*

And there was a lovely and thoughtful letter from my KSKS person.  She really put a lot of thought into picking things that would work for me and that I would like.  I was very touched by her kindness and thoughtful to someone that she doesn't really know.

Oh, and my totally awesome KSKS person?

The lovely and talented Johanna from JoFrog is KnitFrog

Thank you so very much for the wonderful and thoughtful sock kit, Johanna!

If you haven't been to her blog before, go say hello and poke around.  She's got some very cute baby things she's been working on since finding out that there's going to be a tadpole arriving in the nearish future.  Plus Johanna knits lovely things for herself and others as well.

This was the first along I joined.  I wasn't sure what to expect, and it did prove to be an adventure at times.  Many thanks to Bev and Scout for putting this together and making it happen.  Extra thanks to Bev for putting up with all my e-mails.  ♥

Let me know how those DPN's work out for you. They sound like a really good idea. Very thoughtful.

You got a lot of cool stuff from a sweetiehead. I love the personal letter touch. Very nice.

I can't wait to get mine. Hopefully my person was as sweet and generous as yours was. :D

*HUGS*

That was on incredible along...I wish I would have jumped on that bandwagon. I saw some wonderful things on blogs that were being sent between people.

I hope you are feeling "in the pink" soon.
